Hope Community Church Wymondham has vacancies for two interns - for their youth and children's team and for their digital services team.

Starting to think there’s more to life than Nutella, Nando’s, and Netflix! Are you thinking about what you should do after the Summer? Do you want a year of fun and faith adventuring where God can take you on a journey of discovery, leadership, ministry and mission? Are you passionate about Jesus and His Church - living life to the full in love and service to the Kingdom of God? We have two positions available from Sep 2021 – Sep 2022:


Intern: Youth/Children


We are looking for someone for our Youth/Childrens work team (In partnership with RAISE):RAISE is a charity that serves schools and churches in the local community through assemblies, kids events, encounter days and interactive experiences. Check out the link: RAISE.
We would love you to have a passion for seeing young people grow and be discipled in the Lord. Some experience in this area would be helpful but it is not essential. If you are creative and fun this is the role for you!
Opportunities in this area include: Church based kids/youth work, schools work, Community based kids work, facilitating creative/interactive experience days, residential weekends away (Newday, Kids Weekends) and opportunities wherever your giftings lie.

Intern: Digital Services



You do not need to be fully qualified in any of the areas this role covers but we’d prefer it if you have some experience and loads of passion and creativity surrounding this area.
Opportunities in this area include: Filming, editing, livestream mixing on a Sunday, Sound Recording, Sound engineering, growing our online presence on various platforms (Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.), various graphic design tasks, podcast management, lighting and areas you may wish to contribute.

About Hope Community Church Wymondham

Hope Community Church is located in the beautiful market town of Wymondham15 minutes south of Norwich, Norfolk. Wymondham was voted as one of the best places to live in the east of England.

Our church is twelve years old and has seen remarkable growth in the last few years, we have about 400 people (including over 100 children and youth) who call Hope their home and this represents about 2% of population of Wymondham.

We are also home to a School of Supernatural Life (SSL)which has seen a high level of the miraculous and God’s presence in worship released into the church.  The school is now into its 7th year and has a day school, and schools across Europe as well as a rapidly developing online curriculum.

  • We will fund your ID training fees. If you wish to pursue this avenue (see info below)
  • We would pay for you to complete the School of Supernatural Life Day school on Fridays.
  • We will help arrange accommodation and food with members of our community if need be.
  • There will be opportunity for mission with our SSL in Holland and Finland. (Covid permitting)
  • These are part time roles 24-32 hours per week (by negotiation) including Sundays and some evenings. We are open to getting someone to fill both roles doing two days a week per role.
  • Please note this is not a paid position but a voluntary role to gain experience and grow in your relationship with God and in church leadership. 

ID – Intentional Discipleship:
Our intern role can, if you want, run alongside the Relational Mission ID program. We would recommend this for those familiar with relational mission.
Several current and past members of staff at Hope Community Church have done the ID program alongside their intern role. They highly recommend it!
This is specifically designed to help support people in intern positions in churches with various workshops, training days throughout your year where you can meet people in similar positions to you across a broad spectrum of relational mission churches.
