Norfolk author’s poems speak to the heart
Christian writer Catherine Ayre has had a book of poems published to encourage people to find out more about God.
Heart to Heart is a collection of poems which mainly explore the meaning of life from the perspective of the author’s faith in Jesus.
Catherine has lived in Norfolk for coming up eight years and works for the South-Norfolk based Prophetic Bible Teaching ministry ‘The Way of The Spirit’. God gave Catherine a ministry on Hospital Radio, speaking words of hope to those struggling with illness. For ten years she produced and presented a Radio programme called ‘Sharing Faith’. Early on, Catherine found it difficult to find straight forward Christian poetry to read on the programme, so she started writing her own. Heart to Heart is the compilation of a number of these poems, written from God’s heart to the reader’s heart. They are also written from Catherine’s heart; she has a passion for evangelism and is excited about the prospect of reaching more people with the message of Jesus’ love now that the book is published. Catherine said “I want to give God the credit for this book as I am just the channel He has used to reach people so that they can come to know Him.”
Catherine’s poems don’t profess to be clever, but are thought-provoking and challenging. They are a spring-board to finding out more about God and although the subject-material is serious, some of the poems have a humorous slant.
