JubyMountKinabalu05The Norfolk branch of the Boys Brigade Stedfast Association is calling for new members and its chairman is leading an international mountain climb in Borneo.

The Stedfast Association is for all former Boys' Brigade members regardless of previous rank and of any age, they also welcome Girls' Brigade members into fellowship.

The purpose of the Stedfast Asssociation is for members to continue to support the BB Object which is the advancement of Christ's Kingdom - to support local BB Companies and to enjoy attending special events not only in Norfolk but in the UK and even overseas.

JubyMountKinabalu05aNorfolk chairman Paul Juby (pictured above and right on the previous Mount Kinabalu climb) said: "We believe that members will benefit from meeting together and helping local Companies when possible."

Stedfast is now  found in many parts of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Also in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa and Uganda.

"In Norfolk we come together for lunches in various parts of the County, encourage attending local events," said Paul. "Next year the National Stedfast will be hosting in Belfast the 5th International Stedfast Convention, a six-day event.

Also next year Paul will be leading his 4th climb of Mount Kinabalu in Borneo in aid of BB Asia. Paul is also National Extension Officer and National Honourary President and Hon Vice-President The BB in Malaysia. Climbers will come from the UK, Malaysia, Hong Kong and perhaps Singapore and Indonesia.

Norfolk's Vice-Chairman, Mick Wade will be joining this climb and there is still room for a few others if anyone joins Stedfast now.

Anyone interested in joining Stedfast in Norfolk will be warmly welcomed - along with their spouses. Contact Norfolk Chairman, Paul Juby by e-mail at or by phone at 01493 369135.

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
