Good Friday boost for Norwich Foodbank

Norwich foodbank's Lent campaign came to a climax on Good Friday when supporters and a local choir gathered on Hay Hill in the city centre with empty shopping trolleys to be filled with donated food.

Around 60 people from at least six different city churches were present said project manager, Hannah Worsley.
“There was a final chance to donate to our appeal as well as a short time of reflection, music and prayer.
“It was beautiful day so there were loads of people around in the city centre to see and hear us which was exactly the point.
“The Norwich Singers supported us once again and Cedric Poole from Meadow Way Chapel spoke about how we live in a world where everything is 'someone else's fault' and this goes all the back to Adam and Eve blaming others for their mistake. But the message of Good Friday is that it no longer needs to be that way and Jesus died to save us.”
