Visionary Krish Kandiah set for Norwich visit
King's Community Church and Norwich Youth for Christ will be hosting 'God is Stranger' - An Evening with Krish Kandiah on Sunday September 10 at The King's Centre, Norwich.
Dr Krish Kandiah (pictured above) is the founder of Home for Good, a fostering and adoption charity, and is the Vice President of Tearfund. An award-winning author, broadcaster, theologian and spokesman for the Christian community, Krish was a keynote speaker at Spring Harvest this year.
'God is Stranger' is the latest book by Krish, in which he takes readers through biblical stories of God turning up in surprising ways and through surprising people, and explores the implications for families, churches and communities today.
Home for Good is joining Krish as he speaks at church services around the country exploring some of the themes of hospitality, mercy and justice included in God is Stranger.
Krish said: “I believe that as the Church learns more about the counter-cultural generosity to which we are called, and God's awesome nature, we cannot help but be challenged to welcome some of society's most vulnerable into our hearts and our homes.
“God is Stranger includes a message that is hugely relevant to today's society and the whole Church as it delves into how we treat strangers, who we welcome and who we care for. The book considers the implications of this message for our homes, families, churches and communities and this will be explored on the evening.”
All are invited to this event. There is no charge for the evening but we do ask people to register for a place. An offering will be taken on the night towards the work of Home for Good.
Free tickets are available through the King's website.
