Norwich cinema shows story of Christian orphans
We Are Together tells the remarkable story of a group of Christian orphans from South Africa who use the power of song to overcome personal tragedies and Norwich is one of the few places where you can see it.
We Are Together, which is on show at the Norwich Odeon from March 7-14, has picked up 13 international awards including the Audience Award at the Edinburgh and Tribeca International Film Festivals, the Grand Jury prize at the Middle East Film Festival, and other awards at Sheffield, Amsterdam, Whistler, and the Amnesty International Festival. Through the RISE foundation, which has been set up by the directors of the film, all profits from ticket sales to We Are Together will be donated directly to the orphanage featured in the film, and to others in similar situations, in order to meet the education needs of an increasing number of children who have lost their parents to the epidemic.
