The Bishop of Lynn is set to release a charity CD of recordings of 1960s classics following his show-stopping live performance of Wild Thing at Festival Too in King’s Lynn last summer.

JonathanMeyrick370The Rt Rev Jonathan Meyrick, who has appeared in the ITV show Stars in Their Eyes, performed the song with tribute band the Yesterdays who suggested he record the charity album.

“I’ve now recorded what I need to and I’m just waiting for it to be tied together and for the launch date to be decided,” Bishop Jonathan told the EDP.

The six-song CD features the Monkees’ I’m A Believer and The Rolling Stones’ Satisfaction as well as The Troggs’ Wild Thing will raise money for Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House’s Seahorse Appeal and a campaign to restore St Nicholas Chapel to its former glory.

The Bishop has also been invited back to appear at this year’s Festival Too this summer.
