They also perform at concerts throughout the year and especially at Christmas.
The choir have been on radio and television on numerous occasions and sang with the London Symphony Orchestra
in a BBC Broadcast in 2013. They also appeared on the BBC's final of "The Choir
" with Gareth Malone
earlier this year.
from the choir, and parent of one of the choristers, said “The concert will be the last one by the current choir as the 4 year 8 boys will be leaving at the end of this academic year - they really are sounding quite fantastic at the moment and I'm sure the concert will be hugely enjoyable - it will also be their last performance of Captain Noah's Floating Zoo which the boys absolutely love to do - that one is always good fun!”
In July, the choir will be heading off to France for a concert tour starting in Le Puy Cathedral, then travelling to Conques, Cahors for 3 days, then on to Lauzerte Church, plus Vespers in Moissac and an evening concert in Condom, and finishing in Auch where they will sing at morning mass and an evening concert. Proceeds from the Dersingham concert will go to help fund this tour.
The concert in St. Nicholas Church
is at 7pm
on Friday June 20
. Tickets are £10
each, which includes a glass of wine & finger buffet. They are available from James Gravens Budgens
in Dersingham or directly from Pauline Martin
, PCC Secretary, on 01485 544561
