Norwich Diocese launches new-look magazine
The Diocese of Norwich has relaunched its bi-monthly parish magazine with a new editor, a new look and a new name.
Now simply called
The Magazine, the 40-page A4 glossy publication was relaunched at
Bishop’s House by the
Bishop of Norwich and new editor,
Barbara Bryant, earlier today (September 2).
Each edition of the new-look title will be themed – the first issue around the World War One commemorations and also Women in Ministry.
Guest articles featured in the first edition are by
Lord Richard Dannatt and the new
Dean of Norwich Cathedral, The Ven Dr Jane Hedges. Other regular new features include a new “debate” article and an opinion column on creation and the environment.
The magazine also incorporates two previously separately publications –
Fresh, about youth work, and
Everyone Learning, a training resource.
Old favourites such as events, parish news, book reviews, prayer calendar and news in brief are also still included.

Editor Barbara Bryant said: “My intention is for The Magazine to inform, inspire and perhaps to challenge. I hope the result reflects the best of the diocese: the people on our churches and schools, and the difference their faith makes to the communities they live in.”
The magazine is available in Anglican churches across the Diocese or you can order you own copy in the post for free at the
Diocese online shop.
