Volunteer counsellors needed at Norwich, Dereham and King's Lynn branches of 4Cs

Demand for high quality, affordable counselling at the at all branches branch of Christian charity 4Cs has continued to grow, resulting in an urgent need for more people to join the team.

4Cs provides quality counselling for people in our communities who may otherwise not be able to access counselling due to financial constraints. They currently see individuals and couples aged 18+ and ask only for donations from our clients towards the service – at rates which are affordable for the individual – suggesting a donation which can be as little as £5 per session.

The criteria for volunteering as a counsellor for 4Cs are:

  • Qualified to at least diploma level 4.
  • Trained by an establishment working within BACP, ACC or UKCP regulations.
  • Accredited to BACP, ACC or UKCP or eligible and willing to work towards accreditation
  • Willing to see a minimum two-three clients per week as a general rule
  • Able to sign up to our Statement of Ethos and Value
Volunteer counsellors will receive a contribution towards individual supervision, group supervision, travel expenses, regular CPD training at 4Cs expense.
We can also provide placements for students on a level 4 training course provided that the training establishment is registered with BACP, ACC or UKCP.
Placement Applicants should :
  • be on a level 4 diploma or degree course at a training establishment registered with BACP, UKCP or ACC.

  • complete an ‘application for placement’ form

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
