Chance to show church in action at Norfolk Show

Christian organisations, charities and churches are being given a unique opportunity to exhibit at the Royal Norfolk Show in June and showcase their work to many of its 90,000 visitors.

In a joint initiative between the Diocese of Norwich and Celebrate Norfolk, there is set to be a very large marquee where all Christian charities, organisations, ministries and businesses are being invited to exhibit.

The Diocese of Norwich has for many years’ had a large presence at the show to highlight the local church in action, but at this year’s event – held on June 29-30 – the space available will be double the usual size.

Exhibitors already signed up include YMCA Norfolk, Norwich Cathedral, Premier Christian Media, CCT Conference Centres and the Mothers’ Union.

The aim of the marquee is to give many local Norfolk Christian charities and organisations the opportunity to showcase their work to a wide audience at the largest two-day agricultural show in the whole country.

Speaking about the vision, Gordon Darley, Marketing & Communications Manager for the Diocese of Norwich, said: “The Royal Norfolk Show is an amazing opportunity to highlight what God is doing across Norfolk through Christian organisations working together in local communities.  Through a vibrant, colourful and engaging presence we want to give just a taste of the love God has for all.”

At the centre of the marquee will be a large café area for those wanting refreshment or a place to stop and relax as well as a toddler and crèche area for parents.  They’ll also be a demonstration area where school choirs, gospel choirs and others will be performing.

The cost of exhibiting ranges from £140 - £630 depending on the size of space required.  Contact Angela George on 01603 881724 or angela.george@dioceseofnorwich.org for further information.
