National speakers at Norwich church leaders group
Norwich church leaders are invited to join the monthly meetings of Transforming Norwich, which seeks to encourage city churches to grow together in their worship, witness and evangelism and to communicate effectively.
Transforming Norwich aspires to:
Facilitate and encourage the process of churches in Norwich growing together in worship, witness, service and evangelism.
Assist and encourage churches in a variety of areas including evangelism and social action.
Be a voice for all the churches and provide an effective communication network.
Transforming Norwich Ministers Together Lunches run on the first Wednesday of the month (every month except August). Over the next few months Transforming Norwich is looking forward to hearing from a number of keynote speakers coming from across the UK who will help equip, encourage and empower the group.
Rt Revd Dr David Carr is the Senior Pastor at Renewal Christian Centre, Solihull (in the United Kingdom).
A writer, broadcaster and pastor, Bishop David travels extensively across the globe, sharing his vision - and leads his church to some of the most deprived areas of the world, with missions aimed at alleviating the struggle of orphans, disabled children and people whose lives have been devastated by disaster. Closer to home, he founded a mission to feed families within the local region who found themselves in difficulty (now termed ‘the fourth emergency service’ by Solihull’s Mayor) and he is patron of the Gateway Foundation - a charity to support and mentor recovering drug addicts, alcoholics and ex-offenders.
Steve Uppal has been Senior Leader at All Nations Christian Centre, Wolverhampton, since 2001.
All Nations is a growing and vibrant church family which reflects the diversity of the city. He is well known locally, regionally and nationally as an anointed and inspiring speaker. Steve also has a growing apostolic ministry amongst a number of churches which look to him as a wise ‘father’ or ‘master builder’ – a network based on relationship not organisation.
James Aladiran - Prayer Storm
James leads Prayer Storm which gathers people from across the UK to fast and pray for the Nation believing God for a spiritual awakening. Since starting in May 2009 Prayer Storm has become a catalytic movement in seeing many catch a heart intercession, starting regular prayer meetings in churches, schools, universities and work places. James also worked at the Message Trust in Manchester coordinating the Prayer Strategy for the movement since 2007 and has seen God provide and do miraculous things through the power of Prayer.
Sam Ward - Eden Project National Director (The Message Trust)
Sam Ward joined Eden as a volunteer in 2000 when he was working in the field of accounting. He has led the Eden Openshaw team, served as regional director for Eden Yorkshire and since 2007, together with his wife Nicci, led the Openshaw Community Church (a church-plant partnership with the Salvation Army).
