Freedom in Christ course at Norwich church

A discipleship course will be running at a Norwich church on Wednesday afternoons, aimed at helping people become fruitful Christians once they have made a commitment to God.

The Freedom in Christ (FIC) course is used by many churches in the region, often as a follow-up to Alpha and is a way to help new Christians get off to a flying start. The course will be held on Wednesday afternoons at St Stephen's church in Norwich starting on February 8.

There is teaching element of the course - in the form of a DVD presentation by founder of FIC Steve Goss. There is a practical application component as well. The FIC course covers different topics each week ranging from 'Who am I now' to sections on 'the world, the flesh and the devil' and finishing with 'where are you heading' and 'staying on the right path'.

Tim Coe, the Regional Co-ordinator for FIC said, "The beauty of Freedom In Christ is it’s about the application of God’s word. It's about making decisions with regards to action. We’ve found it very helpful pastorally. It challenges people to pray through the specifics for their lives in a Biblical way. We now have an experienced team of leaders and God is blessing this ministry.”
