Noah's ark wins carnival first for Sheringham church

2017: Noah, his ark, his family, and a motley cargo of animals took first prize in their class (social and charity groups) at Sheringham Carnival last night. Tony Rothe reports.

The ark was built by Noah’s grandfather Methuselah (Al Ross) who took part in the parade. The various animals were all members of the Lighthouse kids’ groups, including Sunday Breakout, and  Friday’s “Schools Out” (term time only).

Lighthouse Community Church’s involvement with Sheringham Carnival is part of a program of activities aimed at continuing the church’s involvement in the community. The brown bear (Sue Savory) said “We are already working on our Naffi Café for the 1940’s weekend on September 16. It should be bigger and even better than last year”.
