Nautical theme for Stalham children’s mission

Children in Stalham will have the opportunity to enjoy a week of craft, games, fun, food, and getting closer to God at a holiday club running from Monday August 14 to Thursday 17. Tony Rothe reports.

The holiday club will take place at Stalham Baptist Church, and is a joint project with the local parish church. It is open to all infant and junior school age children, and the fun will take place from 9.30am to 11.30am each day, with a pop-up café and free barbecue on the last day, and a feedback service on Sunday August 20.
The theme is Deep “C” Rescue - Save Our Submariners! Activities will include games to play, and things to make (including Lego and craft), eat, do, sing and listen to, so don’t wear your best clothes!
“We do this to help local families and those on holiday to find out about God - that He loves them and is interested in their lives” explained the organiser, Barbara Reynolds. “We also enjoy it - and learn ourselves as we prepare to tell stories and talk with the children during activities.”
Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles (all parents, grandparents and guardians) are welcome to come along any day – especially for the Show and Tell time at 11.15am from Monday to Wednesday and for the “pop up cafe meets holiday club” morning on the Thursday. On the Sunday, tea and toast will be served from 10am, with a feedback time from 11am.
The cost is £1.00 per child per weekday session – please bring the money with you.
