Norwich YFC needs actors for Christmas film project

After a highly successful production last year, Norwich Youth for Christ is looking for young actors and producers for its popular Christmas film project.

Each year, the Norwich Youth for Christ team work with a group of young people to write and produce their own unique Christmas film. Last year’s film - Na Na Nativity, a parody of La La Land, was their most successful film to date. It achieved over 8,000 views across all online platforms as well as the film being shown in various Christmas services, assemblies and celebrations.
Comments included “The best thing I’ve watched so far this Christmas”. “Wonderful, brilliant, Awesome stuff!” “Great video – well done to all the young people involved.”
This year, the team are planning an original script that aims to continue raising the bar of their previous projects and are looking for more young people to come and get involved to fill various roles including acting, costume, set design and technical crew.
Music youth worker, Sarah Ballard, said: “These projects are always really exciting. As well as having a lot of fun, the young people learn new skills, make new friends and end up with something that they’re really proud of.
Media youth worker Ben Lawrence, added: “We have an outline plan for this year’s project which we’ve been developing with some of the young people. I’m not going to give away any of the storyline, but it’s going to be good so watch this space!”
Sessions will run on Wednesday evenings starting on October 31, 6:30-8pm at Sprowston Methodist Church (Cozens-Hardy Road). All young people aged 11-18 are welcome, no previous experience is required.
