Celebrate appeals for intercessors to join it

Celebrate Norfolk is looking for intercessors, prayer groups and local church prayer meetings to partner with the Christian charity in prayer for its Norwich city centre event on Saturday June 29.

A group is already meeting once a month at Café Marzano in the Forum and those interested are invited to join the next meeting on March 15 at 7:30pm.
Celebrate director, John Betts, said: “You are warmly invited to join us. Come and get yourself a coffee and seek the Lord with us.
“We are celebrating our tenth anniversary event this year and seeking God for multiplied blessings upon the ministry of the Christian community in the city and county. Your support and back up through your intercessions would greatly encourage us,” said John.
“The work of the churches and Christian ministries makes a huge difference to the life of so many. It is important to celebrate, demonstrate and communicate what we do and to engage with the public in the heart of our city. This is especially true at a time when our faith is under pressure from those who oppose what we stand for.
“The Bible encourages us that ‘The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.’ (James 5:16) If we mobilise the Lord’s people in united prayer we can expect great results. John Wesley once said: ‘The Lord does nothing except He first sets His people praying!’
“Do let us know if you are able to take up the challenge of setting aside some time to pray with and for us. We would very much appreciate your partnership as we seek to proclaim the Lord Jesus to our city,” said John.
