With heart and soul: Norwich poetry evening 

An evening of poetry inspired by Relationship, Spirituality and Prayer will be held at Revelation Christian resource centre in Norwich on September 27.

Charlotte Carter, Brian Thorne and Steve Foyster read selections from their own poetry

Local writer and performance poet Charlotte Carter has been writing intensely personal, spiritual and polemical poetry since she was a teenager. A graduate of both Durham University and the UEA she is also the author of ‘The Girl who Learnt to Kneel’ a play based on the life of Etty Hillesum performed at Norwich Cathedral last year
Brian Thorne, well known writer, retired psychotherapist, lay canon of Norwich Cathedral and Emeritus Professor at the University of East Anglia turned his hand to writing poetry at the beginning of 2013. Since then he has produced more than 250 sonnets, from which he will offer a selection of the most moving & provocative
Steve Foyster has managed the now Revelation Resource Centre since 2004. He recently trained as a peer tutor,  co-facilitating mindfulness courses  as well as giving talks and seminars on suicide prevention. Most of his poetry on faith, places and personal experience was  written commuting by train in the 1990s working for Suffolk Social Services
