Local Houses of Prayer training day at Holt
Representatives from Ffald y Brenin in Wales will be coming to facilitate a special prayer training day at Holt Community Centre on Saturday November 23. Tony Rothe reports.
Local Houses of Prayer is a prayer initiative that began in Ffald y Brenin in Wales, pictured above, with the desire to transform communities by the simple act of praying blessing over them. The power of blessing communities has been documented by Roy Godwin in his book The Grace Outpouring.
The purpose of this training day is to explore together some key principles, to enable Christians in North Norfolk to form small 'Local Houses of Prayer' in order to pray blessings on the local communities.
Karen Lawrence and Teri Watkin from Local Houses of Prayer said “Our desire is to activate prayer across North Norfolk and to see our communities blessed – reversing the impact of lost community – and paving the way for revival. We see a parallel with the Dunkirk spirit where lots of small boats all went in the same direction on a mission of rescue! We would love to welcome some people from your community so that we can build connections across North Norfolk.”
The event will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday November 23.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch or use local cafes or the supermarket next door.
The venue is : Holt Community Centre, Kerridge Way, Holt, NR25 6DN
