Gorleston churches join Thy Kingdom Come
Churches in Gorleston are coming together each evening until Pentecost to join Thy Kingdom Come - the international prayer initiative. Tony Rothe reports.
For the past few years, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have encouraged the nation’s Christians to take part in ten days of concentrated prayer from Ascension Day to Pentecost, which this year falls between May 21 and May 31.
Gorleston churches have embraced this, and invite all Christians from across our town to pray Thy Kingdom Come for Gorleston every evening between 7.30pm and 8pm until Saturday May 30.
Each evening there will be a different focus for prayer, including: NHS and COVID-19 response, James Paget University Hospital Chaplaincy, Care Homes, Schools, Decision-makers and government, Foodbank and meal provision, Community support, Outreach, Church leaders, and plans for post COVID.
Those wishing to join in can join on Zoom (Meeting ID: 873 9431 9209) or join by telephone by calling 0131 460 1196 and enter the Meeting ID when requested.

Thy Kingdom Come (TKC) is about going deeper with God, praying for five others to come to faith in Jesus, and being empowered to be effective in sharing his message. TKC have produced a range of resources for churches, available on their website, www.Thykingdomcome.global
