Chair of Trustees at The Matthew Project
Norfolk-based drug and alcohol misuse charity The Matthew Project is looking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees.
The Matthew Project wishes to appoint a new Trustee who will serve as Chair of the Board.
As a charity with a Christian ethos we are looking for someone who shares our Christian ethos and who will work with our CEO, staff team, volunteers and Trustees to support those at risk of misusing, or actively misusing drugs or alcohol or are in recovery.
This is a voluntary unpaid position for a period of not less than 2 years to be agreed with the Board of Trustees, Typically, this involves up to 1 day a week but on occasions can be more and will involve you in:
Chairing Board meetings 6 times a year, usually on a Monday evening
Meeting regularly with our CEO, staff and service users
Attending other meetings as required
Advocating on behalf of the Matthew Project.
The role of Chair is unpaid but expenses incurred in fulfilling the duties required will be reimbursed. For more information please see the recruitment pack.
