Sheringham Methodists’ new social group
‘Encompass’ is a new social group which has started at St Andrews Methodist Church in Sheringham, and all are welcome to come along. Tony Rothe reports.
Members of the church decided to start a new weekly social group at the church following the demise, for various reasons, of some of the groups which had met there previously. There will be a varied programme suggested by members of the group which could include anything from speakers to creative afternoons to a meal out.
The group is being called ‘Encompass’ because it is hoped it will be a group which does encompass everyone from the community. It will meet at St Andrews on the second Thursday of each month from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Refreshments will be provided for a £1 donation.
The next gathering will be on Thursday February 10. To enable everyone to get to know each other better, it is suggested that those coming may like to bring an early photograph of themselves, and those present will then see how many people they can recognise. This will then be followed by fellowship over tea and cake.
St Andrews Methodist Church is on Cromer Road, Sheringham, NR26 8SA.
